That glorious day was soon followed by another. Raised in CCC from early childhood by parents who are committed ministers of the Gospel, who also passed their love and devotion for the things of God on to their children, Angel is a tremendous blessing and a wonderful addition to this dynamic pastoral family. He graduated from Cottonwood on June 18, 2002.Ī highly momentous occasion took place in Pastor Price’s life, and indeed the life of the entire Price and CCC Family, when on Ma– shortly after his 23rd birthday and actually on his parent’s 49th wedding anniversary – Frederick Kenneth Price (Abraham and Sarah’s child) wed the beautiful Miss Angel Chavon Brown. After a 2-year stint, he decided to enroll into Cottonwood Christian Center’s School of Ministry. Pastor Price attended Long Beach State University, majoring in Business Administration. By the age 19, he knew he would become a pastor and teacher. Creflo Dollar meeting which was held at CCC, the Lord spoke to Pastor Price’s heart. Many had hoped that he would go into ministry, but no one ever pressured him. Pastor Price graduated from FKCP III High School, charter member class of 1996.Īt the age of 17, Pastor Price accepted the call on his life. Price III School (named in honor of his elder brother who was struck and killed in a fatal car accident at age eight) which was established on the grounds of Crenshaw Christian Center in 1984. Pastor Price attended K-Anthony School until the 2nd grade, at which time he began attending Frederick K.C. Price, Pastor Frederick Kenneth Price is Head Pastor of Crenshaw Christian Center, thus completing a unique trinity of faith by serving side-by-side with his trailblazing parents. And if you desire the gift of tongues, by all means, ask God for this gift and it is a tremendous gift that should be used in the Body of Christ. The son of world-renowned teachers and ministers, Apostle Frederick K.C. The thing that I would encourage Christians to run after is being filled with the Spirit, by asking God to fill you and the fruit of the Spirit will come. Not all are called to speak in tongues in the body of Christ in my opinion. I don't think however, we should lead people to chase after speaking in tongues.

I thought this was a great book in that it shows a hunger that Frederick Price had for the gift of speaking in tongues. It is said that tongues with interpretation is equivalent to prophecy. Also, it is a gift that can be used to encourage, comfort and edify the church if combined with the gift of interpretation of tongues. It allows you to pray for things in the Spirit, that you could not have prayed in your natural language."speaking mysteries to God". The gift of speaking in other tongues is a great gift and allows you to speak to God in another language that you do not know. Tongues is not the evidence of being filled with the Holy Spirit and if you can find me one scripture that says "speaking in tongues is the evidence of being filled with the Holy Spirit" I will give you $1000.00. Jesus said, "you shall know them by their fruits" (See Matthew 7:16).

In fact, you should avoid those who have a form of godliness, but deny the power of God! The issue here is that the fruit of the Holy Spirit is the evidence of being filled with the Holy Spirit. So, it is not that I do not acknowledge the power of God. If you knew me, you would know that I speak in tongues, I have prophesied, I have interpreted tongues, I have operated in the gifts of healings, I have operated in the gift of discernment of spirits, I have casted out devils, etc. The worst part of this theology is that it divides Christians. Those who use this theology have read into the Bible something that is not there. If you have read any of my other reviews, you know that I do not agree with the dogmatic theology of "in order for you to be filled with the Holy Spirit, you require to speak in tongues". This book is basically the testimony of Frederick Price and how he received the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. "In order to do the works and "greater works" that Jesus did, we must have the same enabling power that He had." (Frederick Price, The Holy Spirit: The Missing Ingredient, )
